3 !diots : Scene 24

Idea's New Ad : My take

Ad Script:

First shot: A boy of age 14-16 enters his study room. He turned on the light. He slowly looked towards it. One can find a dotted line around the bulb with a pop up message near it showing; “Electric bulb invented by Thomas Alva Edison”. This was the boy’s imagination. He gracefully smiles back in a way of thanking the scientist for the great contribution and service he has done.
Second shot: . The boy’s friend is being rushed into the I.C.U on a stretcher. He met with an accident and was badly hurt. The boy was totally tensed and his eyes were filled with tears. He went and stood leaning to the wall as the operation theatre’s bulb glowed. A moment later the doctor comes out of the operation theatre. The boy rushes towards the doctor immediately and caught hold of his hand to know the condition of his friend. The doctor says “He is fine”, with a smiling face and walks off, talking to the nurse. The boy looks towards the doctor as he walks along the corridor discussing something with the nurse. One can see a dotted line around the doctor with a pop up message as; “Hippocrates, the Father of medicine.” The boy smiles back in a way of thanking him for his outstanding contribution and the service he has done.
Third Shot: The boy is seen accessing the internet and was having a video chat with his sister in US. She was gifted with a baby boy and all his relatives were able to see the kid. The boy could see the happiness in his grandmother’s face. He looks towards “www” where one can see a dotted line surrounding it with a pop up message “Tim burners Lee”. The boy smiles back in a way of thanking him for his great contribution and the service he has done.
Fourth Shot: The boy is travelling in a city bus, where a mentally challenged person was lying on the footpath. He was being taken into a van by some women; in white sari with a blue border. The boy bends out of the bus to see all this; as the bus was travelling fast. He could see a dotted line around “Missionaries of charity “; written on the van. One can see a pop up message showing “Mother Teresa established missionaries of charity in 1950”. The boy smiles back in a way of thanking her for her great and ideal service.
Last shot: The boy goes trecking to some unknown place and got stuck over there, as the bridge collapsed. It was a dense forest and there was no sign of help. It was getting dark and the sky too was filled with black clouds. The boy sits over the edge of the mountain. Suddenly he smiles as he takes his mobile out of his pants pocket. One could see a dotted line around “Idea”. The boy calls someone and is seen talking to someone with a big smile on his face. There is no pop up message over here.
Last frame: !dea Service

3 Idiots script leaked ........ starring : aamir khan , madhavan

Scene 24 :
Aamir is the fest organizer in his college. He was busy discussing things with his friends. He sat in the corner of the open air auditorium, surrounded by them.
Aamir : “Achcha thu pehle ye kam kar”, he says looking at one of his mate. And the guy left nodding his head to aamir.
Aamir : “Sid thu jaake iska permission mang lena , OK? “
Sid nods leaving the place. Aamir : “Good !!!”

A junior approaches them. He wore a pink shirt. With a girlish voice he asks, “Sir , I’m a very good singer , can I perform a solo song please ?”. Stunned by his voice, aamir looks at maddy with his eyes wide opened. Aamir usually ends his sentence with a rhyming word.
Aamir: “Yeh ,Kaun hain be??” Whispers to Maddy.
Madhavan : “Don’t know yar , must be a gay!!!!”
Aamir : “Better , Stay away!!!!” he smiles.
“Achcha naam kya hain tumhara??” asks aamir.
“Ryan ….” replies the junior …. Suddenly everyone laughs ….as aamir’s name too was ryan….
Aamir : “Saala , koi aur naam nahi mila kya?? Teek hain… thu jaake sham ko milna… ok ?? ” and the junior left..
Meanwhile, maddy pats aamir on his shoulder and shows him a girl “Woh dekh!!!…..She too is participating in the event…a dance " he says. The girl was standing in the lawn, talking to her friends and laughing loudly. Aamir hate girls . The only two things which irritates him the most were ; an ambulance siren and a girls laughter. A little while later she approaches Aamir with a broad smile on her face. Her name was Shaoni.

Shaoni : Hi , i'm Shaoni
Aamir : “oh !! can u spell that for me ? “ he laughs.
“Relax ,…….. i was kiddin...”
Shaoni : i know,
Aamir : So…… howz ur prep goin on for the fest tonight?
Heard u r dancing for a number
Shaoni : yup, ............ with deepa , she says
Aamir : Deepa ? ........woh moti ? . aamir exclaimed.. . uff yar…
"nacha motii , aur stage tutee" laughed aamir showing his hand to maddy for a hi5................others too laughed….
Shaoni just leaves the place.

Music starts . All the students gather for the party. Cheif guest and other dignitaries enter into the arena. Music stops as aamir starts his speech.

Chetan Bhagat's Speech @ Inauguration of Symbiosis BBA program 2008

Good Morning everyone and thank you for giving me this chance to speak to you. This day is about you. You, who have come to this college, leaving the comfort of your homes (or in some cases discomfort), to become something in your life. I am sure you are excited. There are few days in human life when one is truly elated. The first day in college is one of them. When you were getting ready today, you felt a tingling in your stomach. What would the auditorium be like, what would the teachers be like, who are my new classmates - there is so much to be curious about. I call this excitement, the spark within you that makes you feel truly alive today. Today I am going to talk about keeping the spark shining. Or to put it another way, how to be happy most, if not all the time.

Where do these sparks start? I think we are born with them. My 3-year old twin boys have a million sparks. A little Spiderman toy can make them jump on the bed. They get thrills from creaky swings in the park. A story from daddy gets them excited. They do a daily countdown for birthday party – several months in advance – just for the day they will cut their own birthday cake. I see students like you, and I still see some sparks. But when I see older people, the spark is difficult to find. That means as we age, the spark fades. People whose spark has faded too much are dull, dejected, aimless and bitter. Remember Kareena in the first half of Jab We Met vs the second half? That is what happens when the spark is lost. So how to save the spark?

Imagine the spark to be a lamp’s flame. The first aspect is nurturing - to give your spark the fuel, continuously. The second is to guard against storms.
To nurture, always have goals. It is human nature to strive, improve and achieve full potential. In fact, that is success. It is what is possible for you. It isn’t any external measure - a certain cost to company pay package, a particular car or house.
Most of us are from middle class families. To us, having material landmarks is success and rightly so. When you have grown up where money constraints force everyday choices, financial freedom is a big achievement.

But it isn’t the purpose of life. If that was the case, Mr Ambani would not show up for work. Shah Rukh Khan would stay at home and not dance anymore. Steve Jobs won’t be working hard to make a better iPhone, as he sold Pixar for billions of dollars already. Why do they do it? What makes them come to work everyday?
They do it because it makes them happy. They do it because it makes them feel alive. Just getting better from current levels feels good. If you study hard, you can improve your rank. If you make an effort to interact with people, you will do better in interviews. If you practice, your cricket will get better. You may also know that you cannot become Tendulkar, yet. But you can get to the next level. Striving for that next level is important. Nature designed with a random set of genes and circumstances in which we were born. To be happy, we have to accept it and make the most of nature’s design. Are you? Goals will help you do that.

I must add, don’t just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order. There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions. You must have read some quotes - Life is a tough race, it is a marathon or whatever. No, from what I have seen so far, life is one of those races in nursery school. Where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same with life, where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.

One last thing about nurturing the spark - don’t take life seriously. One of my yoga teachers used to make students laugh during classes. One student asked him if these jokes would take away something from the yoga practice. The teacher said - don’t be serious, be sincere. This quote has defined my work ever since. Whether its my writing, my job, my relationships or any of my goals. I get thousands of opinions on my writing everyday. There is heaps of praise, there is intense criticism. If I take it all seriously, how will I write? Or rather, how will I live? Life is not to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up? It’s ok, bunk a few classes, goof up a few interviews, fall in love. We are people, not programmed devices.

I’ve told you three things - reasonable goals, balance and not taking it too seriously that will nurture the spark. However, there are four storms in life that will threaten to completely put out the flame. These must be guarded against. These are disappointment, frustration, unfairness and loneliness of purpose.

Disappointment will come when your effort does not give you the expected return. If things don’t go as planned or if you face failure. Failure is extremely difficult to handle, but those that do come out stronger. What did this failure teach me? is the question you will need to ask. You will feel miserable. You will want to quit, like I wanted to when nine publishers rejected my first book. Some IITians kill themselves over low grades – how silly is that? But that is how much failure can hurt you.
But it’s life. If challenges could always be overcome, they would cease to be a challenge. And remember - if you are failing at something, that means you are at your limit or potential. And that’s where you want to be.

Disappointment’s cousin is frustration, the second storm. Have you ever been frustrated? It happens when things are stuck. This is especially relevant in India. From traffic jams to getting that job you deserve, sometimes things take so long that you don’t know if you chose the right goal. After books, I set the goal of writing for Bollywood, as I thought they needed writers. I am called extremely lucky, but it took me five years to get close to a release. Frustration saps excitement, and turns your initial energy into something negative, making you a bitter person. How did I deal with it? A realistic assessment of the time involved – movies take a long time to make even though they are watched quickly, seeking a certain enjoyment in the process rather than the end result – at least I was learning how to write scripts , having a side plan – I had my third book to write and even something as simple as pleasurable distractions in your life - friends, food, travel can help you overcome it. Remember, nothing is to be taken seriously. Frustration is a sign somewhere, you took it too seriously.

Unfairness - this is hardest to deal with, but unfortunately that is how our country works. People with connections, rich dads, beautiful faces, pedigree find it easier to make it – not just in Bollywood, but everywhere. And sometimes it is just plain luck. There are so few opportunities in India, so many stars need to be aligned for you to make it happen. Merit and hard work is not always linked to achievement in the short term, but the long term correlation is high, and ultimately things do work out. But realize, there will be some people luckier than you.

In fact, to have an opportunity to go to college and understand this speech in English means you are pretty darn lucky by Indian standards. Let’s be grateful for what we have and get the strength to accept what we don’t. I have so much love from my readers that other writers cannot even imagine it. However, I don’t get literary praise. It’s ok. I don’t look like Aishwarya Rai, but I have two boys who I think are more beautiful than her. It’s ok. Don’t let unfairness kill your spark.

Finally, the last point that can kill your spark is isolation. As you grow older you will realize you are unique. When you are little, all kids want Ice cream and Spiderman. As you grow older to college, you still are a lot like your friends. But ten years later and you realize you are unique. What you want, what you believe in, what makes you feel, may be different from even the people closest to you. This can create conflict as your goals may not match with others. . And you may drop some of them. Basketball captains in college invariably stop playing basketball by the time they have their second child. They give up something that meant so much to them. They do it for their family. But in doing that, the spark dies. Never, ever make that compromise. Love yourself first, and then others.

There you go. I’ve told you the four thunderstorms - disappointment, frustration, unfairness and isolation. You cannot avoid them, as like the monsoon they will come into your life at regular intervals. You just need to keep the raincoat handy to not let the spark die.
I welcome you again to the most wonderful years of your life. If someone gave me the choice to go back in time, I will surely choose college. But I also hope that ten years later as well, you eyes will shine the same way as they do today. That you will Keep the Spark alive, not only through college, but through the next 2,500 weekends. And I hope not just you, but my whole country will keep that spark alive, as we really need it now more than any moment in history. And there is something cool about saying - I come from the land of a billion sparks.

Jus Do it !!!!!

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centred
Forgive them anyway

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives
Be kind anyway

If you are successful, you will win friends, some false and some true
Succeed anyway

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you
Be honest and frank anyway

What you spend your life building, someone destroys overnight
Build anyway

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous
Be happy anyway

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow
Do good anyway

Give the world your best anyway

Because, You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God
It was never between you and them anyway

Something special. . .

How many of you people can confidently write something in hindi , without any errors? Mind you, it should be flawless. How many of you can learn a particular language say telugu , tamil , gujrathi ect. and write something in it without any errors? Relax guys, im not going to put any exam now.

Although my mother tongue is telugu i can hardly write my name in it. The reason being,Firstly, my second language was hindi and secondly i often failed in that too. But the desire to write in telugu didn't come down. Do you guys think i learnt it. A big Noooooooo.....!!!! Life would have been much easy if we could use our own languages to chat rather than using english version of them. Tachyon technologies has now come out with "Quillpad" a website where one can write in 10 diff languages with 100% accuracy in the same way we type english version of it during chatting. It sounds really great, right? well have a look at quillpad.com yourself and start writing in the language you want. I already showed my mother ; who always says i can never write i telugu ; "ma amma chala manchidi, ipatninchi inka telugu tho bali aypothadi " . So enjoy the freedom of writing.

Also do have a look at newseum.com which gives 744 front pages of diff news papers over 68 countries :)

Gud day :)

Bhuvan : Desi version of google earth

Bhuvan brought victory and a tax waver for a period of 3 years to his team, as well as all his fellow villagers in the movie lagaan by winning a cricket match against the britishers.

But now, the same name has brought a pride moment for the entire nation on the Independence Day. ISRO’s new beta Bhuvan promises to do a lot more than G-Earth for India-specific users. It offers quicker data refreshment (the satellite pictures will be newer). It offers better streetby- street (indeed house-by-house) coverage with resolutions that will eventually be significantly better. It also offers a load of useful metadata ranging across climate, weather, demographics, and the historical values of above. It allows easy measuring and scaling and one-click snapshot of maps. This is brilliant. The next version incorporates Chandrayaan-data, including shots of the dark side of the moon..

But, Bhuvan requires a 10.7Mb download from the ISRO site. The site has not been mirrored and it has been down near- continuously due to high traffic since the launch. That was three days ago, and 72 hours is long enough for even beureaucracies to take corrective action. The GoI has both the technological ability and the bandwidth. The Election Commission and the Railways, for instance, handle humongous traffic. Anyway let’s assume a user gets there when the site is working, goes through the tedious registration downloads and completes set-up. Bhuvan can only be run off the site, post-login. This means permanent traffic jams. You will get kicked off regularly. It can only be run off broadband connections that are at least 756Kbps in speed.
Bhuvan suffers heavily vis-a-vis Google Earth and associated programs like Wikimapia. The image-mapping software from ISRO is clunky. It has many potentially useful and impressive features but it is being delivered in a condition that makes even hardened beta-users sweat. “Beta” carries large built-in disclaimers.

So Let’s hope that all these changes would be made soon and Bhuvan comes out with flying colors.
Happy Independence Day.

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) :)

Histrionic personality disorder (HPD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association as a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive emotionality and attention-seeking, including an excessive need for approval usually beginning in early adulthood. These individuals are lively, dramatic, enthusiastic, and flirtatious.

People with this disorder are usually able to function at a high level and can be successful socially and professionally. People with histrionic personality disorder usually have good social skills, but they tend to use these skills to manipulate other people and become the center of attention. They often fail to see their own personal situation realistically, instead tending to dramatize and exaggerate their difficulties. They may go through frequent job changes, as they become easily bored and have trouble dealing with frustration. Because they tend to crave novelty and excitement, they may place themselves in risky situations. All of these factors may lead to greater risk of developing depression.

The symptoms include:

Exhibitionist behavior.
Constant seeking of reassurance or approval.
Excessive dramatics with exaggerated displays of emotions.
Excessive sensitivity to criticism or disapproval.
Excessive concern with physical appearance.
A need to be the center of attention.
Low tolerance for frustration or delayed gratification.
Rapidly shifting emotional states that may appear superficial or exaggerated to others.
Tendency to believe that relationships are more intimate than they actually are.
Making rash decisions.

A mnemonic that can be used to remember the criteria for histrionic personality disorder is PRAISE ME :

P - provocative (or seductive) behavior
R - relationships, considered more intimate than they are
A - attention, must be at center of
I - influenced easily
S - speech (style) - wants to impress, lacks detail
E - emotional lability, shallowness
M - make-up - physical appearance used to draw attention to self
E - exaggerated emotions - theatrical

Surprisingly , Director shankar himself admitted that the reason for him shifting to movies from diplomo engineering has been Histrionic personality diorder. And the result has been Sensational blockbusters like GENTLEMEN , INDIAN , APARICHITHUDU , BOYS , JEANS , SHIVAJI . . .

wonderful lyrics . . .

Nigahen nigahon se milake to dekho. Naye logo se rishta bana kar to dekho

Hasratien dil me dabane se kya haasil hoga apne hoth hila kar to dekho

Khamoshi se kab hoti hai khwahishein poori dil ki baat bata kar to dekho

Jo hai dil mei use kar do bayaan khud ko ek baar jata kar to dekho

Aasmaan simat jayega aaghosh mein chahat ki baahein phaila kar to dekho

Dil ki baat bata kar to dekho

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpY1AqtIh9s

Translation :

Hold that gaze
Do linger a while
Make a new friend
By sharing a smile

Ardent desires
Struggling for voice
Unshackle your lips
That the heart may rejoice

Give life and expression
To the song in your soul
Let yearnings see light
Don't fear losing control

The sky with its bounty
The world with its charms
Is yours for the taking
So spread wide your arms

Let your heartbeats play out
Their tune without guile
And between two hearts
You'll have traversed a mile

Great Advertisement . . . "Vodafone's : Happy to help"

Vodafone's "Happy to help" Ad has been one of the best ones i have seen till date, second only to Bank of India's Ad. The reason i like Bank of India's ad the most is, the way it conveys the message to it's target audience.

Firstly, let me discuss about the Vodafone's Ad.

The Ad starts off with a little girl getting up from bed , early in the morning . The ad maker wants to convey a message over here viz " Right from the beginning " or " From the time one starts his day"; we are ready to help them (our customers). The girl might have been told to stretch her arms as soon as she wakes up . But the way she does that ,shows, she might have forgotten to do that and just responded a little later. The soothing music (at the beginning) with which the ad starts contains a gentle strumming of the guitar. It is mixed along with the beat in such a manner that it definitely grabs one's attention and makes them sit and watch the whole ad. Also, the child character shown was a young, little girl. The idea behind this might be, to show that " a person who needs help is innocent, just like a young , little girl ". And definitely, the girl shown in this ad , best suits that kind of a character. Mind you , the hero didn't enter yet.

In the very next scene, the girl starts wearing her shoes, in order to get ready to school . She starts searching her socks all over. Suddenly, we see the pug carrying it to her. Here the girl didn't actually ask anyone for help. The idea behind this is to convey that "We (the service provider) keep a watch on all our customer's activities and come into picture as soon as they require some help", "The help can also be expected even without their request. Such is our service. " :)

In the next scene , the girl catches the stamp (which needs to be stuck to the post card) with her left hand in order to seek help from the pug. This is because she doesn't have gum with her. No sooner the pug licks it , she sticks it to her post card. The funny thing here is that the girl doesn't even look at the pug.As shez cautious of the fact that it would do the needful. Here the pug positions itself in such a manner that the purpose is served without straining the customer. This shows that the service provided by the Company is very flexible and user friendly.

In the ending, the girl is seen traveling in a school bus. She suddenly recollects the fact that she forgot to wear her tie. And just after this , one can see the pug running behind the bus, carrying the tie. The idea behind this is to promote the company's same old caption : " Where ever you go our network follows." The best thing one can see in the entire Advertisement was that the little girl was never worried . Neither when she couldn't find her socks nor when she forgets her tie while going to school. This shows her (customer) belief in the service and that she got accustomed to the service. Also ,the lyrics of the song are written in such a manner that every line of it conveys the required message.

Well ,I could finally say , i loved this ad very much. :)

Will be back soon with some more posts..Till then Gudbye ;)

3:00 am . . .

Preface:

There are many situations, where you don’t believe your senses. Suddenly, you hear some sound in your room but as you look around, there hardly exists anything that might have caused that sound. Often, you feel something moving just beside you; may be the curtains in your room or a shadow. But you find nothing when you turn around. Yet, the doubt still remains in yourself which makes you check things, time and again.
You usually face such a situation during the night when you are alone in the house watching a horror movie and suddenly the power goes down. Or suppose you are passing by a dark street which is just beside a haunted necropolis at 1:00am and felt someone stopping you from behind. All of a sudden your heart beats faster, your eyes become wide open, your movements retard and unknowingly you tend to fear. You try coming out of such a situation as soon as possible and get rid of it. But destructive ideas continue to run in your mind, which is already in a dilemma and soon makes it blank, when fear overtakes the strength of your heart.
You try to divert your concentration by chanting a few prayers. But that strong inner belief reminds you time and again, that there exists something in your surroundings which might be unknown to you. You frequently check around your place to find out what that “something” could have been. Nevertheless it remains a mystery. This was a similar situation in which Dev; a 21 year old boy was trapped in.

Sardar in singapore .. :)

Three Sardarjis went for a tour to singapore. They searched for rooms everywhere and finally got one which is in the topmost floor of a 100 floor hotel. After taking rest they started for a local visit. While leaving the hotel, the manager informed them that they should reach the hotel before 10.00pm or else lift will not be available and they have to take the steps for which they agreed and went out.

After all the entertainment in the city, they reached back late at 10.30. Since lift was not available, they decided to take the stairways under the condition that each sardarji has to tell a story that lasts for 33 floors so that they can reach the 100th floor without much trouble. After first sardarji finished his story in 33rd floor, the third sardarji said," I have a sad story to say, but i will tell at the end only". Then second sardarji finished his story and the third finished his story and finally they reached the 100th floor.

Then first sardarji asked what was the sad story. The third one said, " I forgot the room key which is on the manager's table".
They once again started back to the first floor and this time the second sardarji after crossing 33 floors from top said," I got a sad story, but I will also say that at the end". They finally reached the first floor and when asked about the sad story, the second sardarji said, " The keys were in my pocket only". With anger and full tired, they once again start from the first floor.

After reaching the 33rd floor, the third sardarji said, " I too have a sad story, but I will say at the end only". Then they reached the 100th floor and the second one asked the third sardarji about the sad story, he replied:" This is not our hotel, It is on the other side of road, opposite to this".

Photocopy is to xerox ......as search is to GOOGLE

According to a web information company, Alexa, Bing has reached the 19th position in traffic ranking in just a period of one month since it has been launched. Microsoft boasts of the fact that its 2.89 million users got increased to 4.9 (after introducing BING).

Forget about everything, as Google has already got 31 million users and has been the NO 1 ranked website in terms of traffic since 2005.

Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were students at Stanford University and the company was first incorporated as a privately held company on September 4, 1998. But in just 11 years , it has reached a revenue of $ 72.796 billion , a net income of $42.27billion , total assets of $ 86 billion , has launched 19 stand alone desktop applications , 19 moblie applications and 80 web applications , making it the MOST POWERFUL BRAND in the world.

The meaning of Google is 1 followed by 100 zeroes and i guess that would be the target to reach , in terms of revenues and no of views per day, for the company.

“We’ve learned how to compete with Microsoft and Apple, but Google is a giant, of course, and competing with it is like a real tough competition ", said COO of Mozilla after coming to know that google has launched CHROME as a competition to Firefox.

"Google is not just a website for internet users , but its a habit ", said CCO ,Mudra , when asked to compare BING.

The "Three Basic Arts"............

I had been thinking for a long time of why exactly do people appreciate Talent? We often see someone saying "He sings very well", "That is an outstanding piece of art","A R Rahman's music rocks" , "I love watching MJ doing the moonwalk"......etc. What are the reasons behind those appreciations? What triggers them to appreciate?

Well,
The Dictionary says
ap·pre·ci·ate means : v.tr.
1. To recognize the quality, significance, or magnitude of: appreciated their freedom.
2. To be fully aware of or sensitive to; realize: I appreciate your problems.
3. To be thankful or show gratitude for: I really appreciate your help.
4. To admire greatly; value.

Psychologists say that, "Any feeling that our human body exhibits is a result of some unknown process that has been initiated in the body itself.... ". This made me think seriously and to my utter suddenness i could trace the reason behind it. Surprisingly , what the psychologists said was true .It was because of the "Three Basic Arts " , which exists in ourselves that makes us appreciate talent. Now what are the three basic arts.

They are : 1)Music 2) dance and 3) painting.

Now one can ask me,"How do these qualities exist in ourselves? How can you justify that?".

Let me explain......

Quite often we hear these words; music , dance and painting ; and we have some definition for these words stored in our subconscious mind. We term, the music produced by an electric guitar as rock music and the one produced by a sitar as classical. In our generation we have come to such an extinct where we stopped exploring new things and spend most of the time knowing the existing things. In this process we might have missed out many more definitions of music, dance and painting.

Consider...........

Music: If you carefully observe, every sound that a human ear can listen to, has some music involved in it. Every sound corresponds to a Swara (The Octaves) ,has a scale and a pitch. The fan sound has some music in it. The train running on the track has some music involved in it. Music is chosen as a hobby by many; let it be vocal or instrumental. Music can change our mood and on the other hand we select songs depending upon our mood.Music has been categorized into many genres and is appreciated by all.

Dance : Dance is a form of art which involves movement of body, usually rhythmic to music. Dance may also be regarded as a form of nonverbal communication between humans. There are different types of dances : bharatanatyam , kuchipudi , breakdance , salsa ect....
If you carefully observe, every movement that our body makes, has some dance involved in it . Legendary dancers often say that Every movement has some meaning hidden in it and they are yet to explore many more forms of dance. Dance is chosen as a hobby by many and is appreciated by all.

Painting : Painting is a mode of expression where you transform your ideas into pictorial representation. The forms are numerous: Eastern and Western art, cave painting , glass painting etc. If you carefully observe, every picture you capture in between the time span , you blink your eyes,is a painting. Leonardo's painting , Monalisa is one of the famous and most appreciated paintings in the history.

So knowingly or unknowingly we have these Three Basic Arts existing in us, that makes us appreciate talent.

Now if we mix all these three: the sound, movement and picture you get a motion picture or a movie. And so far the movies have been the best form of entertainment.

Thank you.

Synonym for torture : "OY" , a new telugu movie

Now a days, Movies are totally messed up. They make movies just for the sake of making it.

Recently i met one of my friends named pradeep after a long time. He took me to a movie called "OY". The only reason i stayed in the theater was : It was raining outside. I really feel the director should meet Ram Shankar Nikumb, so that he would identify which problem this person has got. Mind you , its a 2 hr non stop torture. First time i felt like a double hour lecture of Mr. Phani kumar, the craziest lecturer one would have ever seen, was much much better than the movie.

Coming back to the movie , the heroin named Shamili's action was so pathetic that the person sitting behind me commented like, she still didn't recover from the mental disorder she had suffered from in her childhood charactered movie, Anjali. The director blows his own trumpet saying "there are many funny sequences between the hero and Sunil". Mind you, The hero and heroin hits sunil(a comedian) , who was tied up in a gunny bag, one after the other , and one expects us to laugh for that.

For all the terrorists over the world , please see this movie so that you would plan 9/11 amongst yourselves and kill each other. The worst thing was my friend had already seen the movie and god knows why he came again. I took my revenge by presenting him a DVD of Kambakth Ishq.
